Easter Parade: 3/31/2024

A Richmond Tradition Returns: Easter On Parade Will Be Held March 31, 2021 

Green Front Furniture, Lantz Robins, P.C., City of Richmond and Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virgina (BHMVA) are  sponsors to bring the popular community event back again this year!   

 

RICHMOND, Va.  – It is that time of year – time for Richmond’s beloved and most festive springtime event, Easter on Parade.  Easter on Parade will take place on Sunday, March 31 from 1pm-5pm located between Davis and North Allen Avenues. The event is free and will be held rain or shine. Historically, Easter on Parade has attracted 25,000 to 30,000 Richmonders from all over the region.  

 

First held in 1973, Easter on Parade is a community event that celebrates spring with friends, families and pets gathering to walk the closed-off Monument Avenue while enjoying live music, arts and crafts, vendors and plenty of bonnets, pastels and bunny-inspired outfits. The People and Pet Bonnet Contest will take place at the stage located at Allen & Monument.  

This year marks the second year the event organizers partnered with official sponsors to help produce the event. The 2024 Sponsors are Green Front Furniture and Lantz Robins, P.C.in addition to a partnership with BHMVA.

Additional funding and support for the 2024 Easter on Parade came from the City of Richmond and Historic Monument Avenue.  The event is organized and managed by Grandeur & Grove Events. Historically, Easter on Parade has attracted 25,000 Richmonders from all over the region.
