Join us for a presentation on Black Virginians in the military and five major conflicts in American history: The American Revolution, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam. The presentation will include a reflection on present day military experience and the service.

Joseph S. H. Rogers is a native of Roanoke, Virginia and is the Director of Partnerships and Community Engagement at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture.
