Documentary Screening: LOWNDES COUNTY AND THE ROAD TO BLACK POWER

The community is invited to a screening of LOWNDES COUNTY AND THE ROAD TO BLACK POWER. The film tells the story of the strength and courage of the citizens and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) organizers who fought not only for the right to vote but for Black Power in Lowndes County, AL. The documentary is based on the book by Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries.
