We Are the Builders: Honoring the Contributions of Black Workers in Virginia
For 2025, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) has chosen to spotlight the theme of African Americans and Labor. The Black History Museum & Cultural Center of Virginia has a long and committed history of preserving the stories and amplifying the voices of the Black community in Virginia and beyond. This exhibition is a snapshot that highlights the contributions of just a few of these individuals.
