This special exhibition is organized by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Department of Art & Art History Professor Lydia C. Thompson. These artists’ work invite the audience to reconsider stereotypes based on community existing in the physical and mental state of environments, race and racial identities, economics, and one’s place in society.
As we navigate these troubling times, the pieces reflect self-reflection, strength, and the beauty of resilience.
