RUN RICHMOND 16.19 Weekend @ BHMVA!

BHMVA will celebrate a full weekend of Run Richmond 16.19 fun and education September 26-28. Museum operating hours for the entire weekend will be 12:00-5:00 p.m.

On Friday, September 26, visit BHMVA for a special Community Access Day to engage with a sample of the exhibit and timeline that will provide a bird’s eye overview of the African American history at Kanawha Plaza on Run Richmond 16.19 race day. Participate in a scavenger hunt of the exhibit to gain greater awareness of the significance and impact of the 400+ years of Black history in Richmond.

On Saturday, September 27, stop by the African History in Virginia Information Table at Run Richmond 16.19 to learn about BHMVA’s exhibitions, educational programs, and upcoming events. There will be 1619-themed trivia games for fun giveaways and a special Living History presentation by Jack & Jill of America, Inc.

Run Richmond 16.19 participants can get in free on Sunday, September 28 by bringing in their race bibs.
