This powerful exhibition explores freedom through the eyes of 38 Virginia-born and Virginia-based artists. They offer original perspectives, intellectual stimulation, and personal enjoyment through various mediums including sculpture, acrylics, pastels, photography, fabrics, jewelry, pottery, pencil, and more.  Visit the exhibition then learn more through intimate conversations when you attend our “Meet the Artists” programs.

Through Kidz@122 we connect children with history and culture so they gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. In the spirit of honoring African American pioneers and landmark events in Black history, we engage children in activities that capture their senses.  Field trips for groups of 10 or more middle and high school students include a tour, scavenger hunt, Black history quiz, and team activity. Our Saturday morning programs for children highlight music, art, reading, and technology (primarily for 4-9 years old; all ages welcome).
